the evolutionary rate of the cryoviral manifestations appeared unchecked and increasing exponentially, the like of which have never been recorded or even hypothesized. the manifestations were first noticed through the lenses of antiquated satellites initially sent into orbit to track the changing weather patterns and the trend homo sapiens sapiens called global warming. seen first as bright reddish colored spots in the cryospheric region to the north of all previous sapien settlement the colors quickly disappeared seemingly being re_covered with artic ice. but sploches of color on the images observed by the few solitary astromoners that remained with interests beyond survival quickly transformed into flares. they were reflections, too organized and bright to originate from the icebergs and icedrifts that were rapidly disappearing in the revenge of the biome. enterprises were laid out and expeditions undertaken with little results or conclusions. the only observations were that under hardening crystalline formations a rusty colored surface condition existed as a film across the below_freezing artic seas.

while the sapiens observed the mutant cryovirus organisms were accumulating, cross_breeding, and forming new species of simple yet resilient creatures. where blooms occurred at nutrient rich positions of upwelling and heat in the artic polynyas, the cryovirals matured and aggregated. these physical manifestations of the cryovirus became a living lattice and a lattice for living. in its nooks and crannies, cells and crevasses, pre and post_viral life found means of survival in a deteriorating climate. the surface of the cryomanifestation is deep and variegated, providing an arctic infrastructure for all states of liquid conditions. water, moisture, and ice collect here providing the basic necessities for cryo_evolution. meanwhile, the lonely astronomers were noticing their daily images were appearing different everyday from the previous day. the scientists toiled and scratched their heads while the observers say re_formation of the local sea ice around the cryo_viral blooms. the blooms were acting as inverse warmcold oases forming synthetic biosystems within polynyas.

upon its accidental release into the ocean, the cryovirus found both ripe nucleotide data and its optimal vectors in the doman of protista. drifting in the currents of worlds seas, viral replication became not solely for the purpose of survival but an action of ease and speed for the cryovirus with its light dna assemblage. the cyrovirus found the intense variegation of behavior and genetic code of its protist hosts to be a fertile breeding ground for mutation. these hosts offered the virus similar small genetic structures but enough specieal variation to offer both specifically protist dna as well as marginal animalian, plant, and fungal strains. in its sole objective of replication, the virus became highly adaptive and differentiated in its reproduction lifting the attractive performative nucleotide sequences from the protists. the cryovirus then mutated into multiple related viral variants. in its leviathon appetite and ability to rapidly transcribe genetic information allowed the cryovirus flourish within variant species and evolve its internal make up into a synthetic pseudo natural encoding. known manifestations of the virus have included the behaviors of radiolaria, dinoflagellates, and algae. in self_embedding this genetic data cryoviral mutants have gained the attibutes of silica accretion and cell wall behavior for shell formation as well as ultraviolet filtration from radiolarians, chemical production and the utilizaiton of symbiotants from dinoflagellates, and extreme environmental adaptation and photosynthesizing potential from algae. the re_encoded cryovirus with its appropriated pheno_behaviors thus evolved into an series of organisms itself.

in a period of increasing hysteria and madness, the biome relaxed its acceptance of the conditions imposed upon it and became truly responsive to humanity. some claimed that mankind had backed itself into a tight corner. some welcomed the arrival of the much anticipated superior species, hoping its position would be benevolent. others resigned themselves to the fact that the evolutionary cycles of time are measured in gigaspecies and not just the one of humanoids. man had migrated to the warmth of the savanah and found specieal potential energy there after the last ice age. since that point in time, this energy multiplied in its container harnessing all that was available towards its ends.

it is at the brink of a mass hysteria that a likeminded team of scientists began a series of tests intened to reinvest the potential energy harnessed by mankind into the biome. they hoped to store this energy as data, using their own cellular encoding infrastructure. using the cellular lifecycles of transcription, mutation, and replication, this data could survive the most catastrophic and harsh conditions possible. not only would their data survive, but it could potentially evolve beyond itself as information and as life.

unfortunately the idealism of the project was never allowed to be realized. the biome was persistant and the scientists ran out of time to find the ideal transporter for their data. they were forced to spawn their creature prematurely, embedded in the dna of a virus. riding lightly upon a single stranded dna construct, the data could proliferate and distribute itself throughout the biome. but the laboratory results were nothing short of disastrous. the constructed nucleotide strings were unstable and self_destructive. perhaps out of desperation, perhaps out of insight, the team began inserting their work into their own bloodstreams [self_infection]. when a member of the team decided to spend his final moments at the edge of the ocean from whence the beginnings of life emerged, the cryovirus was inadvertantly released into the the largest possible container of biomass.
